Some medical symptoms do not require a visit
to the doctor or emergency room. However,
some medical symptoms are warnings that
something is seriously wrong and immediate
action should be taken.
A few months ago I was experiencing tightness
in my chest that I assumed was heartburn.
When the heartburn was still with me the
next day I got a little worried that it could
be something more serious. Perhaps something
concerning the heart. So I took some aspirin
just in case.
Later that evening I decided to go to the
store to get something for heartburn.
I thought.. if that didn't solve the problem,
then I'll look into it further.

As I was leaving the store walking back
to my car I noticed I was having shortness
of breath. Now I was really worried.
I had planned to visit my mom and sister
who lived just a mile away from the store.
When I got there I told them about my
experience. They looked worried.
They were used to me having heartburn,
but shortness of breath was alarming.
They told me to go to an urgent care
center right away.
To make a long story short, I ended up
in the hospital for ten days. I had blood
clots in my right and left lungs.
Thank you to my mom and sister who
advised me to seek medical help.

everyone who prayed for my recovery.
